Natural Cork Bicycle Grips produced in Portugal

Cork Bicycle Grips absorb shock and don’t get slippery. They have a nice ergonomic shape to fit your hand and are very comfortable.
Perfect for giving a distinctive look to your classic bicycle, city bike or classy mountain bike.

Due to the type of material, you will have to be careful when assembling the handlebars so that they do not tear, never force the assembly with harsh hammering, install the grips slowly with twist movements; and keep in mind that the tops are vulnerable if you drop the bike (a useful tip – you can fit a coin, for example €0.20 inside the grips, check more in the link bellow).

If the Cork Handlebar grips fit too loosely on your bars it can be dangerous, there are several options for a tighter assembly
– wrap a thin layer of cloth handlebar tape on the central area where the grip will sit, before assembling the grips
– use quick-adhesive glue spray on the handlebars, for example: spray 3M™ Super 77  and assemble the grips immediately after it get tacky
– use multipurpose liquid glue, suitable for wood or metal, apply a few lines of glue on the handlebars and then slide the grip on to the bar while rotating slightly

Approximate dimensions : 120 x Ø35mm
And they have solid ends which adds around 10mm to the hadlebar width

Note: you can find other versions of imitation cork grips on the market, produced in Asia and at a lower cost… both grips fulfill their function but the difference is big, those are essentially made of foam and synthetic material with an outer print imitating cork (there is also imitating wood).

But the cork grips have a completely different behavior and feel, these made of natural cork are completely waterproof, do not heat up, are resistant and exceptionally dampen vibrations… in addition to being produced in Europe, more specifically in the interior of PORTUGAL cork bicycle grips , by a small company family, obeying a sustainable fair and ecological economy.

Curiosity: Portugal is the world leader in cork production, responsible for more than 60% of the volume of world exports, and has a cork oak area corresponding to 25% of the entire world. the superior quality of Portuguese cork is indisputable.

For those who like cork bike grip tape but can’t use them in smaller grips, since they are more intended for wider bars this is perfect!

A set consists in 2 cork bike grips in a neat cardboard box.

Cork grips

I have been searching for solid cork grips for a while now and I was very happy, Happy Bicycle had them! The shipping was very fast! These are also very well made.
Many so-called cork grips are a composite of rubberized cork. The solid cork grips have a really nice natural feel and very shock absorbing.

Super quality and quick delivery to Germany

The grips arrived in Germany in under a week and are just as good as the photos and description. A great alternative to Rivendell's cork grips.
